I was the lead researcher and photographer for this investigative report on hate crimes in Suffolk County, New York. I spent six months in the county documenting these crimes by moving into the community and interviewing victims and community advocates about the discrimination they have witnessed and faced.

Under Siege: Life for Low Income Latinos in the South
published April, 2009
I was the lead researcher and photographer for this report on low-income Latino immigrants in the southeastern U.S. Fellow researchers and I spent six months in 2008 traveling through six southern U.S. states - Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee - interviewing and documenting the stories of immigrants in the region.
I produced five audio slide shows for this project and can be found in 'multimedia' at this website.

Close to Slavery: Guestworker Programs in the United States
published September, 2007
I was the lead researcher and photographer for this investigative report on the U.S. Guestworker Program, a government run program which brings in thousands of immigrants to the States every year to perform work. I interviewed guestworkers across the country and documented their stories about working under this program.
