Reducing the "Justice Gap"
I spent several months in the field investigating and documenting stories of homeowners around the country on the verge of
foreclosure, some of whom had legal assistance and the support from advocates, and some who didn't. I produced these
stories as a video series for the Brennan Center and the National Coalition for a Civil Right to Counsel. The pieces were also
featured on the Huffington Post.
The Brennan Center for Justice at New York University School of Law is a non-partisan public policy and law institute that focuses on the fundamental issues of democracy and justice.
The National Coalition for a Civil Right to Counsel is committed to ensuring meaningful access to the courts. They work to expand recognition and implementation of a right to counsel in civil cases.
